Proverbs 1 & 2

The book of Proverbs teaches us that true wisdom comes from God alone. It’s not just a collection of wise sayings but a call to seek godly wisdom above all else.

In Proverbs, wisdom is personified as a woman, much like the Torah (God’s law) in Hebrew tradition. This reminds us that real wisdom is found in God’s Word. As we explore Scripture—from Genesis to Jesus and Paul—we see a clear message: worldly wisdom leads to destruction, but God’s wisdom leads to eternal life.

This challenges us to reflect: Are we chasing temporary success, or are we seeking God’s eternal wisdom? Even when it seems foolish to the world, let’s commit to following the wisdom that comes from fearing the Lord.
