Messiah's Mission
Dec 18, 2022 • Tim Webb
In 221 A.D. Sextus Julius Africanus, recognized as the first Christian historian, designated December 25th as the day of Christ’s birth. December 25th was officially recognized by the Church in 336 A.D. Starting around the fourth century, the tradition of giving presents at Christmas began. Today it seems that we often forget the true meaning of Christmas and instead focus on the countdown to the presents. Instead, let’s remember and celebrate the incarnation of Christ, the Son of God. Join us in our Christmas sermon series in the month of December as we count down to His presence.
